Meredith Matthews is Executive Producer and Chief Creative Officer of Gets You Singing Ltd. She is a singer, writer, songwriter and teacher. Meredith taught for decades in private practice as a voice teacher and for twenty-eight years as a Social Science and Creative Process professor at a community college in Ottawa, Canada. When she recognized the need for a fast, upbeat, and simple voice training system and program of courses that singers singers of all ages and stages could use, she combined her teaching skills and vocal talents
to create the Gets You Singing system and courses. These popular courses are given at the Ottawa Conservatory of Music and are based on Meredith’s Gets You Singing voice training system.

Meredith has been singing since she was a toddler. She has performed to rave reviews in leading roles and solos in pop, musical theatre and opera. The National Arts Centre in Ottawa and the McPherson Theatre in Victoria, British Columbia are among the stages where she has sung. Meredith holds a Masters Degree from the University of Western Ontario and is a member of the Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists (ACTRA), the Actors’ Equity Association and the Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada (SOCAN).

Seven years as “the amber lady” on The Canadian Shopping Channel (The Shopping Channel or TSC) where she guest hosted on The Amber Forest, a monthly program showcasing Baltic amber jewelry.

Lead performer in The BNA Act, a British Music Hall musical comedy aired by the Canadian Broadcast Corporation (CBC)

Writer producer and performer of one woman show for CJOH Television and Kaklik productions called The Promise of a New Day, a musical about the journey of grief and finding a happy life again after loss.

Appearance as an aristocrat in Eugene Onegin, a party attendee in La Traviata and a fantasy character in the Festival Ottawa opera productions aired by the Canadian Broadcast Corporation.

One of four lead performer/singers in a five year run of The British North America Act. A British Music Hall production where Meredith sang everything from pop to opera to musical theatre to “character” songs. Performance venues included The National Arts Centre in Ottawa, Canada, and The McPhearson Theatre in Victoria British Columbia.
